"econet cMatrix achieves business-oriented IT management by focussing on the process level: flexibility and efficiency is gained through highly automated end-to-end process chains, and semi-structured IT processes are taken into account by combining process automation with human interaction through the econet process engine.

A rule engine is closely coupled with the process engine, meaning that rules and processes are managed separately – as is only correct, considering the n:m relationship that exists between them. The process model is state-of-the-art, incorporating modelling of roles and organisational units. The top-down structuring of the security model is also derived from this. This model also contains the modelling of metrics for BAM (Business Activity Monitoring) to monitor and control processes. The process instances are logged in a “process warehouse” where they are available for any BAM reporting and analysis tools."
